A joint venture between ACCIONA Industrial and Gransolar (GRS), led by GRS, is set to construct one of Australia’s largest photovoltaic plants.
The Lilyvale Solar Farm will have a capacity of 100 MWac, and the project will be carried out as a turnkey or EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract for global solar developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV). The works have already begun and projected to be completed by the end of 2018.
The purpose of this role is to provide electrical engineering expertise. Reporting to the construction manager you will help manage the construction and contractual requirements of the Lilyvale Solar Farm photovoltaic plant. You will be based in Tieri, a small town north east of the Lilyvale project. Accommodation, meals and a vehicle (if required) will be provided and you will receive a 15% project allowance in addition to your salary.
Responsible for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client, site and complete execution.
Provide engineering support to all operational assets
Provide expertise and share knowledge for conducting all essential tests required in entire Solar Project execution
Maintenance of files and documents relevant to the project
Maintain strong relationships with colleagues in HQ, Spain.
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
Must have 10+ years’ experience in an electrical engineering role
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with solar farms
Experience in electrical testing of power systems e.g. transformers, generators, cables
Must be experienced in analysing and interpreting data.
Must be able to live on site an comply with the roster
Strong written and oral communication skills coupled with attention to detail
Health and safety awareness and active participation in WHS procedures and standards
Available to commence immediately
Experience working with High Voltage permit system.
