ACCIONA is looking for a Technical Office Manager for its Construction Division for a Canadian Project.

Job Description

Coordinate the engineering activities to meet company objectives for design, as a contractor point of view. Supporting to deliver a successful project on time, on budget, within company requirements and client obligations for safety, health, environment and quality.

Administrate information and the technical documentation to the others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, design instructions and supporting the production activities.

Responsabilities and Functions

  • Coordinate the risk management and opportunities.
  • Coordinate the procurement activities form a design point of view.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing design reports.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to client.
  • Establish good working relationships with Site staff and Department Heads.
  • Assist to ensure the quality design management plan.
  • Assist with approvals, requests, technical issues on site and NCR issues.
  • Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals
  • Assist to Follow-up with subcontractors during negotiations and offer award or subcontract terms, performance and payments
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records
  • Administrate the technical documentation. Lead the Engineering integrated report.
  • Support to the technical manager in decision-making.
  • Support to the technical manager in production/procurement activities.   
  • Maintain cordial relations and communications with designers and lead engineering disciplines.
  • Planning and maintaining project schedules.
  • Liaise between the construction and engineering teams ensuring the harmony between engineering team requirements and construction team deliverables.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skills.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills.
  • Excellent solving problems/analysis.
  • BIM-Revit knowledge. BIM piping software experience is a plus.
  • Computer literate. Reporting.
  • Comfortable in working to tight deadlines.
  • Water treatment engineering knowledge.

  • Project based on Vancouver.
  • Position is part of an international Corporation working across Canada and positions/individuals are subject to possible relocation within Canada.
