Job Description

ACCIONA has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build the East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility (ERRRF). Under the EPC contract, ACCIONA will deliver the project in partnership with Hitachi Zosen INOVA (HZI), the world-leading technology provider and equipment supplier, bringing the next generation of innovation to the Australian waste management and resource recovery sector. The project encompasses the design, construction, financing, and operation of a greenfield Resource Recovery facility in the Rockingham Industry Zone 40km south of Perth.

ACCIONA is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Controls team. Reporting to the Project Control Manager you will be responsible for the estimation of quantities and man hours across both SMP and E&I commodities. Essentially you will input and manage the data in our Quantity Management Software.

To be the successful candidate for this important position in our team, you must have substantial capabilities using and manipulating data in Excel. Additional consideration will be given to your experience in managing Subcontractor packages, including performance and payment tracking, as well as practical experience in using Envision (E7).

Required Skills and Competencies

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • General Project Controls duties as part of the project controls team;
  • Driving the successful close-out of project variations and remeasurement claims;
  • Ensuring that systems and processes are implemented to variations and management of change throughout the course of the project.

In support of your application, you will have obtained a relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or substantial QS experience gained in a prior or similar role as part of a Project Controls or Quantity Management team. Ideally, you have had successful project completion exposure inside the Renewables D&C, EPC work environments.
