ACCIONA Construction Australia is now looking for a Procurement Manager. Based out of our new Brisbane office your role will be to manage the sourcing, procurement and timely supply of all materials and services for a project in order to facilitate the best possible project outcomes in cost, quality and schedule.
As a procurement professional you will ensure that all contractual documentation raised by the Procurement department is in accordance with a Project’s guidelines and issue Purchase Orders / Subcontract Agreements. Follow up on P.O.s (delivery schedule, quality and accuracy of material delivered) whilst assuring correct cost coding of procured services/material. Manage personnel (purchasing officers and storemen) and assist in the preparation of cash flows and budgets and lead the liaison with other departments to guarantee proper Assets Management.
Required Skills and Competencies
As the successful applicant, you will have several years’ experience in procurement with exposure to large engineering or construction projects preferably in transport infrastructure and demonstrate the ability to execute large procurement programs from concept through implementation. A sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills with experience in overseas procurement and management of long lead time items.
Supporting your extensive industry experience is a recognised qualification in a related field, necessary certificates, and tickets to perform and manage works. The Procurement Manager is also required to liaise with client representatives to ensure the smooth running of projects.
