Coleman Rail are currently looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our business based here in Melbourne. The role will be supporting the Southern Program Alliance project as part of the wider project team and will support the delivery of level crossing removals along the Frankston corridor for the Victorian Government and the Level Crossing Removal Project. The Southern Program Alliance (SPA) comprises Acciona Coleman Rail, LendLease, WSP and Metro Trains Melbourne to remove 18 dangerous and congested level crossings along the Frankston line.
The Senior Contracts Administrator reports to the Contracts Manager in a hands-on and autonomous role partnering closely with our Project Managers and Engineers to ensure the highest standards of project financial control and performance. Differing from most CA roles, this senior position will allow you to devote your time into driving project performance through a deep engagement with our delivery team on matters such as project financial reporting & forecasting while ensuring routine project administration disciplines are in place; and still actively involved in procurement activities, subcontracts (and the development of umbrella subcontracts), cost reviews, contingencies, forecasting, and risk & opportunities.
As our Senior Contracts Administrator you are:
- Responsible for delivering accurate, timely and informative project reporting and forecasting
- Assist and direct project delivery teams in the financial aspects of project management, including ensuring adherence to financial management disciplines
- Maintain Contracts Management process and registers to manage and control Alliance risk
- Support the Procurement team to implement and continuously improve the SPA Procurement process
- Development and management of commercial delivery strategy.
With a successful employment history you possess an in-depth knowledge of Securities of Payments, Federal and State Tax legislation and Australian Accounting standards. You can promote an expertise across a range of contracting models, and are proficient in ensuring that the contractual risk assumed is controllable, consistent with Company policies. We are looking for someone with a track record of partnering with senior management and delivering desired outcomes with the ability to report.
Essentially you are a degree qualified industry professional who is either a Contracts Manager or Administrator who has worked on Rail or an associated civil infrastructure project.
